CBS RADIO News simulcast WBBM-A and WCFS was CHICAGO radio’s biggest moneymaker in 2011, TIME OUT CHICAGO'S ROBERT FEDER reports. BIA/KELSEY, which compiled the revenue rankings, pegged the station’s 2011 revenue at $48, up from 2010's market-leading total of $42.5 million in 2010.
Rounding out CHICAGO’s top-five billers in 2011 were: HUBBARD BROADCASTINg Hot AC WTMX-FM with $36 million; TRIBUNE CO. News/Talk WGN-A with $35.5 million; UNIVISION RADIO Regional Mexican WOJO with $24 million; and CBS Radio Country WUSN with $22 million.
