CLEAR CHANNEL AC WLTW (106.7 LITE FM)/NEW YORK morning duo BRONSON and CHRISTINE got involved when they heard about the 8-year-old NEW YORK boy, ARMANDO VIGO, who was hit with a stray bullet while browsing inside a local bodega in THE BRONX.
Allegedly, a man rode his bike past the deli and opened fire on a group of teens outside, hitting VIGO inside, before getting away. The boy was immediately taken to JACOBI MEDICAL CENTER where they treated him for a punctured lung, fractured rib and an injured spinal cord. MAHMOOD ABDULRUB, the store manager, was amazed by VIGO's kind manner throughout the event. "He was so polite," he said. "He looked up at me with his big googly eyes and said, 'Thank you, sir.'" reports THE NEW YORK DAILY NEWS. The second grader has since returned home with the bullet still stuck in a bone near his neck.
BRONSON and CHRISTINE and the gang at LITE-FM have decided to award ARMANDO with a trip for him and his family to experience the fun and excitement of a WALT DISNEY WORLD vacation, staying at WALT DISNEY WORLD's Disney's Art of Animation while playing in all four WALT DISNEY WORLD Theme Parks.
VIGO said he was excited to see THE INCREDIBLES!
