Kannon Exits Wired In Philadelphia
April 13, 2012 at 9:39 AM (PT)
BEASLEY Top 40/Rhythmic WRDW (WIRED 96.5)/PHILADELPHIA APD/afternoons KANNON has left the building. A permanent replacement has not been named.
KANNON will continue hosting the internationally syndicated SUNDAY OPEN HOUSE PARTY SUNDAY and OPEN HOUSE PARTY RHYTHMIC.
KANNON told ALL ACCESS, "I had the amazing opportunity to spend eight great years at WIRED, from its very beginning, seeing it start as a small, 'little train that could' station ... full of talented, motivated individuals not afraid to take chances and do things differently, into a legitimate, respected Rhythmic powerhouse that is soon to have its first major concert, WIREDFEST for 30,000 great WIRED fans. That's something we could have never imagined in the beginning."
KANNON continued, "Hats off to the many great friends I've made here and the scores of ultra-talented people I've had the pleasure of working with and for. I sincerely wish all the best to the BEASLEY family and the dedicated people who helped build WIRED 96.5. I LOVE radio, and am anxious to continue pouring my passion for loyalty and creating unique, compelling radio that garners "fans" of stations, not "listeners," into my next opportunity."
Don't expect the talented jock to be out of a full-time gig long. KANNON can be reached at (215) 520-2336 and at email@example.com.
