Country artist GARTH BROOKS is causing a stir yet again. This past SATURDAY, APRIL 14th his CALGARY STAMPEDE show at the SCOTIABANK SADDLEDOME scheduled for JULY 12th sold out in less than one minute.
The CALGARY HERALD reported that 15,322 were sold in just 58 seconds, a record in the CALGARY STAMPEDE’S 100 year history.
Because of the popularity of the show, many tickets were found minutes after the sell-out, on third-part sites such as STUBHUB and EBAY for up to 40 times the face value. “One pair of floor seats were going for $4,986 and another three for $7,480 on eBay,” reported by the CALGARY SUN.
“We did our best to control the situation and allow as many fans to participate as possible by limiting it to six tickets per person,” said GARTH’S publicist NANCY SELTZER.
