Condolences to family and friends of former radio station owner JEFFREY CHANDLER, who died at his RANCHO SANTA FE, CA home on SUNDAY after a battle with prostate cancer at 70, according to the LOS ANGELES TIMES.
CHANDLER, whose family was the longtime owner of the LOS ANGELES TIMES and, as a director of the company, played a role in the sale of TRIBUNE CO. to SAM ZELL, bought KARL (now KOGO-F)/CARLSBAD (NORTH COUNTY SAN DIEGO) in 1971, later added KCEO-A/VISTA, CA, and sold the stations in 1997.
