CRTC Approves Three New FMs

Several Rulings

DOUGLAS B. FREEMAN's HECTOR BROADCASTING CO. LTD. has received CRTC approval for its application for a new Rock station at NEW GLASGOW, NS.  The new station will operate at 97.9 FM with 100,000 watts maximum ERP.

In other CRTC actions, the agency approved COWESSESS COMMUNITY PROJECTS INC.'s application for a new low-power Type B Native FM station at COWESSESS, SK.  The English- and Cree-language station will operate on 98.1 FM with 49 watts.

And WASAUSKING COMMUNICATIONS GROUP has been granted a new English- and Ojibwa-language station on 91.3 FM at WASAUSKING FIRST NATION, ON, operating at 60 watts ERP.
