The joint was jumpin' last night in HOLLYWOOD, as EPIC RECORDS hosted a showcase featuring L.A. REID's hot new artist, and former UK X FACTOR contestant CHER LLOYD.
The DIM MAK STUDIO was packed with fans plus radio and industry peeps including KBIG/LA OM/PD ANDREW JEFFRIES, KZZP/PHOENIX OM/PD TIM RICHARDS, KBKS/SEATTLE APD/MD ERIC TYLER and KHTS/SAN DIEGO APD/MD/mornings FRANKIE V, BILLY BUSH SHOW Producer MICHAEL STEELE, FRONT LINE/AZOFF ENTERTAINMENT's RICHARD PALMESE, IN2UNE's KEN LUCEK, Z ENTERTAINMENT's STEVE ZAP, PROSPECT PARK's RON CERRITO plus promo pros AL MOINET and VICKI LEBEN.
After chatting up the crowd, LLOYD opened up with a cover of WIZ KHALIFA'S "Work Hard, Play Hard." The tight, well-paced set included a few other cover surprises, such as USHER'S "OMG," and a tender treatment of ROBYN's "Dancing On My Own." She also performed "Beautiful People" and the current single, "Want U Back," two originals from her U.K. album "Sticks And Stones," which is being reworked for its U.S. release later this year.
A big shout-out to EPIC's Pop Promo SVP ERIK OLESEN, VP MARNI HALPERN, Adult Promo VP MICHELLE BABBITT and also COLUMBIA'S AMANDA WALK for another great night of fun and entertainment.
