Carrie Underwood To Be Featured On 'Dateline' Special, Appears With Husband On Oprah Show

ARISTA NASHVILLE artist CARRIE UNDERWOOD will be featured in an upcoming one-hour “DATELINE” 20th Anniversary Special next TUESDAY (5/2) at 9p (ET) on NBC-TV.
CARRIE and correspondent HODA KOTB first met in 2005 after she won the fourth season of “AMERICAN IDOL.” Nearly seven years to-the-day later, CARRIE and HODA meet again to talk about her rise as a five-time GRAMMY-award winner and her latest album “Blown Away.”
The special will also highlight some of the most extraordinary stories in the past 20 years including JANE PAULEY with MICHAEL J. FOX; TOM BROKAW profiles ARON RALSTON; MATT LAUER reports on two families brought together by fate; ANN CURRY checks in with the MCCAUGHEY septuplets and more.

Meanwhile, UNDERWOOD and husband NASHVILLE PREDATORS forward MIKE FISHER were featured on OWN’S “OPRAH’S Next Chapter” last night (5/20). In their first interview together, the couple talked about CARRIE’S rise to fame balancing two high profile careers, and plans for building their dream home.
