KVET Raises Over $180,000 For The Dell Children's Medical Center Of Central Texas

CLEAR CHANNEL Country KVET/AUSTIN held its 13th annual KVET RADIOTHON FOR THE KIDS for on MAY 18th in the lobby of DELL CHILDREN’S MEDICAL CENTER OF CENTRAL TEXAS. The one-day event broadcasted live on KVET from 6a to 9p (CT), featuring stories by kids and parents who have been treated at the hospital. This year’s radiothon raised more than $180,000 for DELL CHILDREN’S MEDICAL CENTER OF CENTRAL TEXAS.
As part of the radiothon, FIRST TEXAS HONDA donated a 2012 HONDA ODYSSEY that was raffled off. Raffle ticket sales collected more than $50,000 and MARVIN COMBS was named the winner of the new car. In addition, on THURSDAY, MAY 24th, KVET presented Country artist JOE NICHOLS in concert. The concert raised more than $3,000.
“The radiothon’s outcome is a testimony to the ongoing commitment and kindness of the KVET audience,” CCM+E/AUSTIN Market Manager PAM McKAY said. “Our listeners really come through for the community especially to support CENTRAL TEXAS kids.”
