Kelly Brandt To Do Morning Drive At KGSR
May 30, 2012 at 8:57 AM (PT)
EMMIS Triple A KGSR/AUSTIN PD CHRIS EDGE has announced that KELLY BRANDT will take over morning drive, replacing exiting longtime host BRYAN BECK. BRANDT was formerly known as "BOOGIE" from his six-year run as morning/afternoon host and APD for sister station HOT 93-3 before KGSR took over the signal. After leaving HOT, he did wake-ups and programmed Top 40 KZFM (Z95)/CORPUS CHRISTI and then moved back to AUSTIN in 2011.
"Although KELLY worked in hip-hop for many years, his adaptive delivery fits really well on KGSR," said EDGE. "His personal music tastes are actually more in-line with what KGSR sounds like today and he’s excited about making his return to the AUSTIN airwaves."
BRANDT will join KGSR on JUNE 11th and make his debut in morning drive on JUNE 18th.
