Former WDJQ/CANTON, OH morning team PAT DELUCA and CHARLOTTE DIFRANCO has added the DSN ROCK station to their Internet-only streaming network. The high-quality, 128-bit stream features a Mainstream Rock playlist which will also encompass more Active Rock tracks in the evenings and overnights.
All music will be unedited and uncensored and the initial playlist will encompass nearly 1,500 songs in regular rotation from 300 unique artists.
"Since the launch of our first station, it’s been our plan to expand into a network of specifically programmed stations," said DELUCA, who is doing the programming. "Top 40 DSN HITS was our first station; Rock is our second. We just had no idea we’d expand so soon."
In the month of May, DSN Hits posted a record of 1 million minutes listened. Statistics also show a global audience from 62 countries and average listening times of upwards of 110 minutes per session.
DELUCA's morning show will simulcast on both DSN Hits and DSN ROCK from 7-10a weekdays, and "The Basement" hosted by former WRQK/CANTON PD/midday KEITH HAMILTON will be heard from 7-midnight on DSN ROCK.
"Our goal is to expand both musically and in terms of our live personalities," DELUCA noted. "CHARLOTTE will begin afternoon drive on DSN HITS, moving our current talent to nights. We will continue to offer 17 hours of live personalities on our Top 40 station and hope soon to offer the same on DSN Rock."
Plans for the future include a Country station, a Classic Hits station, a News/Talk station, and possibly a Sports channel.
Both stations are accessible only online from the DSN’s main website -- www.theradiosucks.com -- as well as within the TUNEIN RADIO interface for computers as well as ANDROID, IPHONE, WINDOWS PHONE, BLACKBERRY and tablet devices
