NPR Bolsters Foreign Correspondent Roster

WASHINGTON POST CAIRO Bureau Chief LEILA FADEL is joining NPR NEWS as a correspondent in CAIRO. She will join the network in JULY.
At the same time, NPR's SORAYA SARHADDI-NELSON will more to KABUL and then BERLIN over the next year on a temporary basis. Also, the network has appointed DIGITAL NEWS correspondent COREY FLINTOFF as MOSCOW correspondent, also starting in JULY.
In addition, AMERICAN PUBLIC MEDIA "MARKETPLACE" Senior Reporter GREGORY WARNER has been named EAST AFRICA correspondent, based in NAIROBI and starting in DECEMBER; AUSTIN correspondent JOHN BURNETT will fill in on "extended assignment" in AFRICA.
