Jim Ryan Named PD Of WCBS-F 'New York's Greatest Hits'

CBS RADIO VP/AC Programming and PD of AC WWFS (FRESH 102.7)/NEW YORK adds programming responsibilities for Classic Hits WCBS-F it was announced TODAY (6/4) by SVP/Market Mgr. DON BOULOUKOS. RYAN assumes the role from BRIAN THOMAS, who moved to CBS RADIO/TAMPA to become VP/Programming for the market (NET NEWS 5/9).
"JIM knows NEW YORK radio and its core audience like no other, which is a perfect fit for the station that embodies and personifies the city," said BOULOUKOS. "I have had the good fortune of working with JIM for the past two years and his day-to -ay performance made my final decision an easy one. This legendary institution begins its 41st year in very capable hands."

Before joining CBS RADIO, RYAN was head of his own consulting company, JIM RYAN MEDIA, where he advised many top radio stations, including market leaders in LOS ANGELES, SAN FRANCISCO and HOUSTON, and syndicated national personalities, in addition to providing ARBITRON PPM analysis to clients in the Talk radio industry. From SEPTEMBER 1996 to APRIL 2008, RYAN worked for CLEAR CHANNEL AC WLTW (106.7 LITE-FM).
