JOURNAL BROADCAST GROUP Top 40/Mainstream KQCH (CHANNEL 94-1)/OMAHA, NE has named MANDY SCOTT as its new middays host, and has given MD stripes to nights host JJ RYAN. SCOTT, who starts JUNE 25th, previously did mornings and before that, middays, at Rock WRXW/JACKSON, MS.
"The response we received for this position was overwhelming with nearly 100 applicants, and we didn’t take this search lightly," Dir./Operations MARK TODD said. "In the end, we felt MANDY had the sound, skills, and was a great cultural fit for our radio station,"
"I feel lucky to be able to continue my journey in live and local radio, and even more so to do it with the talent at CHANNEL 94.1," SCOTT said. "I’m excited to join the family at JOURNAL!"
"JJ has shown the initiative and made himself a part of every music meeting since his arrival almost two years ago," TODD continued. "He watched, listened, learned, participated and really understands the station and its audience. There was no better person for the job."
"This is a really great feeling," RYAN said. "I am so excited and so grateful for this opportunity. CHANNEL 94-1 is an incredible station, and one that has been very successful. I am more than up for the challenge to make sure that continues. I can’t thank MARK TODD enough for all that he has done for me."
