BLUE RIDGE BROADCASTING (BRB) of ASHEVILLE, NC, has entered an agreement with HUMBERTO MARTINEZ and MARGARITA DEL ROSARIO TOTH of CHARLOTTE, NC to sell Religion Talk WFGW-A/BLACK MOUNTAIN, NC, pending approval of the FCC.
"While we were founded with the purchase of WFGW-AM in 1962, our focus over the past several years has been on our ministry through our FM stations and online presence. BRB continues to reach audiences in areas of seven states through 106.9 (WMIT-FM) and 106.7 (WFGW-FM)," said BRB Exec. Dir. JIM KIRKLAND. "We are excited about this agreement and wish Pastor MARTINEZ and his wife the very best."
The private financial investment of broadcaster and lay pastor MARTINEZ and wife TOTH comes as WFGW-A celebrates 50 years of broadcasting to western NORTH CAROLINA.
BRB owns and operates two other stations: BRB's flagship station Contemporary Christian WMIT (106.9 THE LIGHT)/BLACK MOUNTAIN, NC and WFGW (106.7 THE LIGHT)/NORRIS, TN, which serves metro KNOXVILLE, TN.
