Talker Steve Deace Adds Column In Des Moines Register

IOWA-based syndicated talk host STEVE DEACE is adding duties as a columnist for the DES MONIES REGISTER, starting SUNDAY (6/24). DEACE's column will alternate between SATURDAYS and SUNDAYS and will focus on local news and issues; he will continue to write on national issues for TOWNHALL.COM and CONSERVATIVE ACTION ALERTS. DEACE's show airs on CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WHO-A/DES MOINES (where he previously hosted afternoons locally) and other stations.
"I am excited about this opportunity, because it gives me a chance to again have a bigger platform to specifically address local issues again in the community I am raising my children in, while at the same time it allows me to continue to pursue the goals we have for our syndicated show," said DEACE. "If all goes well, the Republicrats in my home-state will wish I'd never been born in no time. I look forward to all the haters who will tell me this platform is irrelevant while at the same time reading what I write every week. Just remember, even in the DES MOINES REGISTER, if you have to ask it's about you."
REGISTER Opinions Editor RANDY EVANS said, "Whether you agree with him or not, and whether you consider yourself conservative, liberal or in between, you can count on STEVE to challenge your views and stimulate your thinking."
