WRUF, WMOP Team For Gainesville-Ocala ESPN Radio Affiliation

UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA Sports WRUF-A (SPORTS RADIO 850)/GAINESVILLE, FL has gained the ESPN RADIO affiliation for the market in a partnership with FLORIDA SPORTSTALK LLC, owner of Sports WMOP-A-W261BA (ESPN SPORTS RADIO)/OCALA. The new simulcast will result in a single ESPN affiliate for the market, ESPN 850/900, launching TODAY (6/29); WMOP programming was previously heard in GAINESVILLE on WGGG-A.
The lineup includes ESPN RADIO's "MIKE AND MIKE IN THE MORNING" 6-10a (ET), followed by market veteran ADAM REARDON 10a-noon, WMOP's STEVE RUSSELL noon-2p, ESPN RADIO's SCOTT VAN PELT 2-4p, WMOP's LARRY VETTEL 4-6p, the UF student-run "THE CHEAP SEATS" 6-7p, and ESPN programming after 7p.

"Creating a single broadcast schedule for the entire GAINESVILLE/OCALA market with ESPN, local sports talk, and GATOR and local sports events gives fans throughout the region a single place on the dial to listen to all their favorite sports programming."
