The FCC has entered a Consent Decree with SIRIUS XM RADIO that will have the company make a "voluntary contribution" of $240,000 to resolve the issue of whether it raised prices in contravention of the three-year post-merger pricing condition placed upon it by the Commission.
SIRIUS XM kept its base subscription costs static during the three-year period, but added a music royalty fee and a fee for Internet access, and increased fees for additional receivers.
