Triple A Conventions Update
The granddaddy of them all, The FMQB TRIPLE A CONFERENCE celebrates 20 years in 2012! The event will again be held in BOULDER, CO at the ST. JULIEN HOTEL & SPA AUGUST 8th-11th, 2012. BONNIE RAITT has been announced as the opening keynote Q&A for WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON, AUGUST 8th and the other panels are being put together as you read this.
THE FOX THEATRE performances this year include PASSION PIT, FUN., ALABAMA SHAKES, TRAMPLED BY TURTLES, CITIZEN COPE, GOOD OLD WAR, LP, GIVERS and ALLEN STONE,, along with side stage and hotel performances from BETH ORTON, CAT POWER, DRY THE RIVER, HEARTLESS BASTARDS, IMAGINE DRAGONS, MARTIN HARLEY, MAX GOMEZ, MEIKO, MICHAEL KIWANUKA, MILOW, SONS OF FATHERS, STEVE POLTZ, THE BREW, THE DUNWELLS, THE EMPTY POCKETS, VAN GHOST, VONGREY, WHITE VIOLET, ZACH HECKENDORF and ZZ WARD.
And performers just added include HUSKY, ELLE KING, PALOMA FAITH, LIANNE LA HAVAS and CHRIS DANIEL & FRIENDS

The AMERICANA MUSIC ASSOCIATION has announced the dates for the 13th annual AMERICANA FESTIVAL & CONFERENCE in NASHVILLE: SEPTEMBER 12th-15th, 2012. It takes place at the DOWNTOWN NASHVILLE SHERATON HOTEL.
Meanwhile, the AMA has already announced that BONNIE RAITT will receive the coveted Lifetime Achievement Award for Performance and will be the subject of an in-depth interview, hosted by NPR Music's ANN POWERS.
The conference will present over 50 panels and events. And the 11th annual AMERICANA HONORS AND AWARDS ceremony hosted by industry stalwart JIM LAUDERDALE and band leader BUDDY MILLER takes place on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12th at the historic RYMAN AUDITORIM.
The festival brings 100 Americana showcases to venues throughout MUSIC CITY. Last year, approximately 1,000 industry types attended the conference, including a number of Americana and Triple A radio programmers. More than 12,000 fans enjoyed the festival's musical events.
