PACIFICA FOUNDATION's national board has voted not to renew the expiring contracts of Executive Director ARLENE ENGELHARDT and CFO LAVARN WILLIAMS and to search for replacements, reports CURRENT.ORG. The contracts expire NOVEMBER 30th, and both ENGELHARDT and WILLIAMS have been invited to apply for new terms in their positions.
In addition, the board has placed on hold $1 million in budget cuts at the foundation's five stations ordered by ENGELHARDT. The motion orders the stations to "assess their upcoming income and expenses and submit plans to deal with any projected shortfalls," reports CURRENT, adding that the plans are due JULY 30th.
