CONNER MEDIA CORP. is selling Sports WAVQ-A and W240BQ (ESPN 1400)/JACKSONVILLE, NC to CATHY CLARK's CDV BROADCASTING, LLC for $225,000.
In other filings with the FCC, GEORGE CHAMBERS is selling Country KAXA (103.7 THE BUCK)/MOUNTAIN HOME-KERRVILLE, TX to THOMAS GEBHART's REDDOG MEDIA for $45,000.
JON E. ROBINSON 's JER LICENSES, LLC is selling Sports WDTX (ESPN SPORTS FAN 100.5)/ROTHSCHILD-WAUSAU, WI to STEVEN H RESNICK's SUNRISE BROADCASTING LLC for $325,000 in a secured promissory note. The buyer also owns Talk WXCO-A (1230 THE VOICE)/WAUSAU.
FIRST VENTURES CAPITAL PARTNERS, INC. is selling FM translator K237EL/HURON, SD to DAKOTA COMMUNICATIONS, LTD. for $20,000. The translator will rebroadcast the buyer's Oldies KIJV-A (OLDIES 1340)/HURON.
And JOHN GARABEDIAN's CODCOMM, INC. has closed on his $2.7 million purchase of Adult Hits WFQR-WFRQ (FRANK FM) and Classic Rock WPXC (PIXY 103)/CAPE COD from bankrupt NASSAU BROADCASTING.
Also, in a deal not yet filed with the FCC, CUMBERLAND RADIO PARTNERS is selling Talk WJZM-A/CLARKSVILLE, TN to a local group including sports hosts GREG WALKER and DAVID LOOS and funeral home operator MIKE PARCHMAN, according to the CLARKSVILLE LEAF-CHRONICLE. The seller's principal HANK BONECUTTER told the paper that he will remain with the station as host of the station's morning show and SATURDAY "CLARKSVILLE IN REVIEW." WALKER, LOOS, and PARCHMAN operate WVRY/WAVERLY, TN and WQSE-A/WHITE BLUFF, TN.
Meanwhile, NORTHPINE.COM's UPPER MIDWEST BROADCASTING reports that the FCC has cancelled the licenses of FM translators W269CK/BRAHAM, MN and K288GE/SILVER LAKE, MN at the request of licensee RADIO POWER, INC., which had sought to move both into the MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL market through the use of now-banned chains of interim moves.
