Former MERIDIAN BROADCASTING Talk WFSX-A-F-WNOG-A (92.5 FOX NEWS)/FORT MYERS-NAPLES, FL morning host TREY RADEL won his Republican primary for Congress in FLORIDA's Congressional District 19 TUESDAY, setting up a NOVEMBER matchup with Democrat JIM ROACH on NOVEMBER 6th.
RADEL, a former anchorman at CBS affiliate WINK-TV/FORT MYERS, and ROACH are vying to replace Rep. CONNIE MACK IV (R-FL) in the House; RADEL, with 32.44% of the vote, comfortably defeated several challengers in his primary race. While RADEL is identified with the "Tea Party" in his district, he was backed by MACK and other establishment Republican figures as well.
