2012 Nashville Songwriters Hall Of Fame Inductees Announced

On SUNDAY, OCTOBER 7th at the RENAISSANCE NASHVILLE HOTEL, the NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME FOUNDATION will induct four new songwriters for the 42nd annual induction ceremony.
For 2012, the four inductees are LARRY HENLEY, MARY CHAPIN CARPENTER, KIM WILLIAMS and TONY ARATA. Additional nominees that had been considered for this year included KIX BROOKS, LARRY GATLIN, RONNIE DUNN, ROBERT BYRNE, BETH NIELSEN CHAPMAN, JOHN JARRARD, TONY MARTIN, GRETCHEN PETERS and VICTORIA SHAW (NET NEWS 7/3).
“Among all the great songwriters who have put the music in MUSIC CITY, only a select few are elected to the NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME,” said Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Directors, JOHN VAN MOL. “We are delighted to accord this honor to TONY, KIM and MARY CHAPIN, and pleased as well to recognize LARRY as the first inductee in the Veteran Songwriter category.”
