Country artist RANDY TRAVIS has had another encounter with police OVERNIGHT (8/23), as he was cited for misdemeanor assault.
ABC NEWS reports that the incident escalated after a husband and wife were arguing in a PLANO, TEXAS church parking lot. TRAVIS intervened to aid the female, who was a friend of his. Police were called, and TRAVIS was given a ticket for assaulting the other male.
RANDY TRAVIS was arrested earlier this month for DUI and making Felony death threats to police after he crashed his vehicle while driving naked (NET NEWS 8/8). He was also arrested in FEBRUARY for Public Intoxication, after being discovered sitting in his vehicle in a SANGER, TEXAS church parking lot (NET NEWS 2/6).
TRAVIS’ recent legal troubles have resulted in him being dismissed from a previously scheduled appearance at the REPUBLICAN NATIONAL CONVENTION in TAMPA, FL next week.
