Country artist TRISHA YEARWOOD will return to FOOD NETWORK on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 20th, with her series “Southern Kitchen.”
This will be the 2nd season for YEARWOOD, who is also a best-selling cookbook author. Season two of “Southern Kitchen” will feature 13 total episodes with topics such as Southern Brunch, SUNDAY Dinners, HALLOWEEN and THANKSGIVING traditions, and maintaining the Southern flavor of "lighter" down-home meals.
TRISHA’s husband, GARTH BROOKS will make an appearance on the show this season, and it will be filmed in their home state of OKLAHOMA. GARTH will join TRISHA in the kitchen as they make their favorite dishes, including Black Bean Lasagna and MISS MICKEY’s Peanut Butter Balls.
“TRISHA’s Southern hospitality, family stories and cooking talents really resonate with our audience and we’re delighted to deliver new episodes this Fall. Viewers love seeing this unexpected side of one of music’s leading ladies – her passion for food and family, and her playful humor make TRISHA a joy to spend time with,” said FOOD NETWORK GM/ SVP, BOB TUSCHMAN.
“I’m so excited for season two. Sharing my family recipes and having the people I love most by my side is such a joy. This show celebrates what living life to the fullest is all about, and it’s so gratifying to return to FOOD NETWORK for a new season,” said YEARWOOD.
