Music City Center To Be Home Of Nashville Songwriters Hall Of Fame

NASHVILLE’s MAYOR KARL DEAN, along with MUSIC CITY CENTER officials and songwriters WAYLAND HOLYFIELD, PAT ALGER and KYE FLEMING made TODAYS’s (10/4) announcement that the NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME will be permanently located in the new MUSIC CITY CENTER.

The HALL OF FAME will include various songwriting artifacts, interactive displays, and homages to its 184 HALL OF FAMERS. 

“The music industry is a vital part of NASHVILLE’S unique culture, and songwriters are often the ‘unsung heroes’ of the business. This location at the MUSIC CITY CENTER is a fitting space to honor songwriters and their creativity, and it gives both local residents and visitors from out of town yet another reason to stop by our new convention center,” said MAYOR KARL DEAN. 

The HALL OF FAME FOUNDATION has received contributions from its board members, ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, publishing companies SONY/ATV, WARNER CHAPPELL and UNIVERSAL, as well as other music industry leaders. That has made it possible to lay the groundwork for construction at the MUSIC CITY CENTER, however the organization is still seeking support from donors.

The NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME will open in the SPRING of 2013, during the time that MUSIC CITY CENTER is scheduled to open.
