TRIAD BROADCASTING Country WUBB (BOB 106.9)/SAVANNAH, GA morning personality TIM LEARY put his pride on the line during a recent two-day drive to raise money for “SUSAN G. KOMEN For The Cure.”
During the station’s annual “Fit For The Cure” event, BOB 106.9 invited listeners to the local BELK department store to be fitted for a bra, and in turn, the stores would donate $2 to the charity for each fitting.
TIM LEARY’s co-host BILLIE MARSHALL then upped the stakes saying that if 10 women signed up for a fitting within the next 30 minutes, that LEARY would be fitted for a bra of his own. Listeners accepted the challenge and TIM soon found himself standing in the middle of BELK getting measured.
“Awkward doesn’t even scratch the surface, but since my fitting raised additional money for SUSAN G., me and my 38Bs were happy to participate!” said TIM LEARY.
The event raised $2,500 for “SUSAN G. KOMEN For The Cure.” Watch the video here.
