The American Music Awards Catch Bieber Fever
The Late Dick Clark Honored By Stevie Wonder And Ryan Seacrest

It was a big night for JUSTIN BIEBER at the AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS. BIEBER addressed "all the haters who thought that, you know, that maybe I was just here for one or two years," and proudly exclaimed "I feel like I'm going to be here for a very long time."
It was a BIEBER-bash as the 18-year old took home artist of the year, favorite pop/rock artist and favorite pop/rock album awards.
The big winner took time to thank his Mom. "I want to thank you for just always believing in me," he said.
The show honored the late DICK CLARK, who originated the event, with a musical tribute performed by STEVIE WONDER. Host RYAN SEACREST took the opportunity to speak about the man he held in high regard. "This show, on its 40th anniversary, still reflects DICK's original vision," SEACREST said. "Bring the top artists on the planet together on an equal stage and then let the music speak for itself."
CARLY RAE JEPSEN, who exploded this year with "Call Me Maybe," won new artist of the year.
NICKI MINAJ won twice, being named favorite rap/hip hop artist and winning for favorite rap/hip hop album. "Man, I been did dat," MINAJ said. "Man, I been popped out."
KATY PERRY was honored for favorite pop/rock female artist.
MAROON 5 was named favorite pop/rock band, duo or group.
USHER won as favorite soul/R&B male artist.
BEYONCE won for favorite soul/R&B female artist.
RIHANNA was honored for favorite soul/R&B album.
LINKIN PARK was named favorite alternative rock artist.
New Mom ADELE won for favorite adult contemporary artist;
LADY ANTEBELLUM won for favorite country music band, duo or group.
CARRIE UNDERWOOD's "Blown Away" won for favorite country album. "I couldn't love my life anymore than I do right now," she said.
LUKE BRYAN was named favorite country male artist.
TAYLOR SWIFT won favorite country music female artist for her 11th AMA trophy.
Electronic dance music, a new category this year, honored DAVID GUETTA.
SHAKIRA was a winner for favorite latin music artist.
TOBYMAC won for favorite contemporary inspirational artist.
There were 18 performances, with the standouts being PSY and MC Hammer mashing up "Gangnam Style" and HAMMER's 1991 "Too Legit to Quit." PINK also wowed with "Try."
