Webinars don't get much more timely than the CONCLAVE's upcoming 70th webinar, “Using Social Media To Get Hired, v.2013,” with JACOBS MEDIA Director Of Digital and Social Strategies and ALL ACCESS columnist LORI LEWIS. With the job cuts at CLEAR CHANNEL last week and other layoffs fresh in the news, the webinar, an updated edition of the first "Using Social Media to Get Hired" from DECEMBER 2011, is likely to prove especially helpful to those newly "on the beach" as well as those who have been out of work for longer and even those still working but looking to find a better job, or preserve the ones they have.
The webinar, produced and hosted by CONCLAVE board member JAY PHILPOTT of HUBBARD Adut Hits WARH (106.5 THE ARCH)/ST. LOUIS, will offer recommendations on how to bring hiring managers into your social media circle to increase job opportunities, and includes five ways to help increase your chances of landing that new position. LEWIS will also discuss what content in your social media profile could harm your chances of landing a job and what can positively reflect on you. A question and answer session will follow the presentation.
"While looking for a job always has its challenges, today's technology also opens up better lines of communication and opportunities to help you stand out. Make sure you're not misusing this new technology," said LEWIS. “First impressions are being formed online before resumes are being read.”
The online video presentation will air WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 9th from 2p to 3p (CT) and is free of charge, but requires pre-registration. Register by clicking here.
