ENGADGET has released its "Best In Show" awards for the 2013 CES, and the FORD APPLINK Developer Program has won the "Best In Automotive" award. This program allows any mobile app to interface with voice commands in the SYNC AppLink system and is especially important to the radio industry.
FORD selected jacAPPS as their House Developer to assist radio stations with accessing the "connected car."
"Despite literally millions of gadgets and concepts at CES, the FORD program stands out because it levels the playing field for all apps, especially for radio stations," jacAPPS’ Pres. PAUL JACOBS said. "It is exciting that ENGADGET recognized FORD's innovative AppLink program, allowing any radio station to have a strong presence in its SYNC® enabled vehicles."
At the 2013 CES, jacAPPS unveiled sixteen iPHONE and ANDROID apps for GREATER MEDIA owned radio stations, including WRIF/DETROIT, WMMR/PHILADELPHIA, WROR/BOSTON and WBT/CHARLOTTE.
