WSM's Eddie Stubbs Celebrates 30 Years In Broadcasting

OPRY ENTERTAINMENT Classic Country WSM-A/ NASHVILLE personality, and GRAND OLE OPRY announcer, EDDIE STUBBS celebrated his 30th year in Country radio with a celebration at the COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM on MONDAY (1/14).
STUBBS, who hosts evenings on WSM, was greeted by many music industry and broadcasting colleagues, as well as Country music artists such as RAY PRICE, JEAN SHEPARD, WHISPERING BILL ANDERSON and RONNIE MILSAP. PRICE and ANDERSON spoke in great length about STUBBS’ contribution to the Country music genre, SHEPARD serenaded EDDIE with “TENNESSEE Waltz,” and MILSAP donned a black T-shirt with “STUBBS” across the front (similar to the popular “CASH” T-shirt).
TENNESSEE Music Commissioner HANK ADAM LOCKLIN presented a citation from GOVERNOR BILL HASLAM that proclaimed JANUARY 14th as a day of recognition for STUBBS.
