Megatrax Loves Giving Back

MEGATRAX PRODUCTION MUSIC loves music and is taking a proactive step towards fostering the next generation of musicians, composers, music supervisors, producers and more by donating 1% of all needle-drops to the MR. HOLLAND’S OPUS FOUNDATION in FEBRUARY of 2013. MEGATRAX believes that the Foundation, which "donates both new and refurbished instruments to school music programs that lack the resources to keep up with equipment loss due to attrition, depreciation and wear over time, and to accommodate students on waiting lists or who have to share instruments," represents the future of the music industry.
SVP/Sales PHIL MACKO said, "The future of our industry is today in school learning the art and craft of music. By supporting MR. HOLLAND’S OPUS we are investing in the future of music. MEGATRAX has always had a strong commitment to our social responsibility. When looking for a way to give back to the community, it made perfect sense to align with this remarkable group. The goal of keeping music alive in our schools is one that we are excited about!"
MEGATRAX has raised money and awareness for other causes in the past. Among other initiatives, the company donated similarly to the RED CROSS after the Japanese Tsunami in 2011 and supported the SPORTS MEDIA MARKETING MAKING THE CUT competition: an opportunity for students to create an innovative on-air promotion for a premiere sports network, also in 2011.
MACKO added, "We try to think of ways to give back every year, but until this year we hadn't found a cause that we could align with long term."
