EMMIS COMMUNICATIONS' TAGSTATION cloud service is expanding support for on-air system integration by working with ARCTIC PALM's CSRDS and ENCO's PADapult datacasting systems.
In an ongoing effort to help radio stations take advantage of TAGSTATION, the cloud-based engine that supplies data for the NEXTRADIO smartphone application, EMMIS reached out to these two datacasting services. Although Broadcast Electronic's TRE remains the flagship middleware partnership, more options for stations that want to quickly launch TAGSTATION with the services they currently use, can help with more rapid industry-wide adoption.
"As more and more cars with digital dashboards are being sold, and in light of the recent deal with SPRINT for NEXTRADIO to be included in many of its new smartphones, broadcasters must keep pace with the broadcast requirements to support these evolutionary receiver interfaces," said EMMIS Chief Technology Officer PAUL BRENNER. "These new partnerships, along with ever-improving streamlined installation processes will help radio stations implement a solution that serves compelling content to digital dashboards and smartphones."
