Newcap Mulling Sale Of Radio, TV Stations In Western Provinces

NEWCAP (NEWFOUNDLAND CAPITAL CORPORATION LIMITED) announced TODAY that it is "exploring the possible sale of its western broadcasting assets," including 32 radio stations, 6 repeaters, and 2 TV stations, mostly in ALBERTA.
"These broadcasting assets have a strong track record of earnings," said President/CEO ROB STEELE. "This is a great opportunity for potential buyers as this is the first time in many years that a cohesive group of broadcasting assets has been for sale in one concentrated area in one of CANADA's most prosperous provinces."
The company's radio properties in the western provinces include Classic Rock CIRK (K-97) and Classic Hits CKRA (96.3 CAPITAL FM)/EDMONTON; Classic Country CFCW-A and Adult Hits CFCW-F (CAM-FM 98.1)/CAMROSE, AB; and Classic Hits CFXL (XL 103 FM) and Top 40 CKMP (90.3 AMP RADIO)/CALGARY.
