SiriusXM, A2IM Agree As Court Case Dismissed

U.S. SOUTHERN DISTRICT COURT Judge GRIESA approved a Stipulation Agreement between SIRIUSXM and A2IM and dismissed a lawsuit filed by the satcaster, alleging A2IM was interfering with the satellite's channel efforts to obtain cheaper direct licenses that pay royalty rates of 5-7% instead of the 8% statutory rate for master rights owners.
The settlement reaffirms A2IM's right to freely counsel members on licensing issues. More details of the stipulation agreement can be found here.
