3,000 FM Translator Applications Dismissed By FCC

FCC Rejects 3000

The FCC's Media Bureau has dismissed about 3,000 FM translator applications from Auction 83 as it moves forward with implementing the new national and local application caps from the Fifth Order on Reconsideration in the Low Power FM proceeding.

The "tech box" dismissals implement the choices made by applicants, who were asked to pick applications for further processing or submit evidence for showing compliance with the caps, and also dismiss applications for failure to submit those responses.
