ACN Creative Director To Launch Universal Comedy Network
February 11, 2013 at 6:41 AM (PT)
JOEL GRAHAM, the former Creative Dir. of AMERICAN COMEDY NETWORK has jumped back into the comedy biz with the immediate launch of UNIVERSAL COMEDY NETWORK (UCN), a new service to replace ACN, which was closed down by parent DIAL GLOBAL on FEBRUARY 6th (NET NEWS 2/7).
GRAHAM said, "UCN is an audio-intensive prep service that provides highly topical comedy content tailored to fit the needs of personalities from large markets to small who are committed to providing a unique and exclusive entertainment experience for their listeners."
GRAHAM has put the band back together, bringing in the core team of comedy writers, producers, singers, and voice talent from ACN.
The new UCN service, according to GRAHAM, will offer sound, feel, and quality nearly identical to ACN. UNIVERSAL COMEDY NETWORK clients will receive song and commercial parodies, fake commercials, dropins, production elements, call starters, audio from the Web, television clips and more.
UCN is offering former ACN affiliates the opportunity to secure market exclusivity before UCN is available to other market stations. UCN will be available for barter and cash. All material is customizable, with mixouts and super short edits that conform to the time constraints of PPM markets.
UNIVERSAL COMEDY NETWORK's website (www.universalcomedynetwork) will go live on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 12th. Stations interested in securing UCN for their markets should contact JOEL GRAHAM at email@example.com or (203) 804-0077.
