THE TOM KENT RADIO NETWORK launched the "TOM KENT Music Magazine," a six-hour Classic Hits show, on MONDAY, JANUARY 7th from 6p-mid weeknights. The show consists of six different themed hours all created to push appointment listening with affiliate audiences -- and hosted by TOM KENT!
Hour one is Tom’s staple "What’s This World Coming To!" with a healthy dose of Classic Hits; Hour 2 features "The '70s at 7,", followed by "The '80s at 8." At 9, "The Classic Hits Countdown," then "Your Live Request Show" at 10p, with the final hour being the "The Number One Show."
Some of the stations taking the programming, in whole or in part, include: WMJI/CLEVELAND; KXKL/DENVER; WXCH/INDIANAPOLIS; WVBW/NORFOLK; KABG/ALBUQUERQUE; WKQK/MEMPHIS; KEYN/WICHITA; WYNZ/PORTLAND, ME; WOLX/MADISON; and WDRC/HARTFORD.
"We are totally pumped to bring in 2013 with a slam dunk bang as we introduce 'TOM KENT's Music Magazine' 6p to midnight, MONDAY through FRIDAY," TKRN SVP/Affiliate Sales ED DOUGLAS said. "Radio has been taking a back seat to TV for too long and we decided to do something about it. The result is a show that drives appointment listening! As far as the rest of 2013 ... stay tuned ... more exciting things are just around the corner!"
