An attorney who hosts a brokered financial show on SALEM Talk WIND-A (AM 560 THE ANSWER)/CHICAGO has been found liable for damages in a case brought by a couple claiming she misappropriated over $2 million of their money.
The CHICAGO TRIBUNE reports that DUPAGE COUNTY Circuit Judge BONNIE WHEATON entered partial judgment against KATHLEEN NIEW, her husband STANLEY NIEW, and their NIEW LEGAL PARTNERS in the case brought by JAMAL and LEDA KHOURY, who alleged that they deposited their life's savings with NIEW and discovered after trying to access their money to buy property that the money was gone.
KATHLEEN NIEW's license to sell insurance was revoked last week by the state Department of Insurance after four clients complained that she submitted documents with signatures they had not authorized, and also had been accused in misappropriating client funds in other suits.
