MILWAUKEE RADIO ALLIANCE Talk/Urban WMCS-A/MILWAUKEE has gone into stunting mode with an all-ELVIS format as it prepares a flip to a new format.
“A business decision was made that a radio station has to make money and unfortunately, 1290 WMCS was not a profitable entity,” ALLIANCE VP/GM BILL HURWITZ told FOX affiliate WITI-TV (FOX 6).
The station, a fixture in the city's African-American community for decades, is owned by former GREEN BAY PACKER WILLIE DAVIS' ALL PRO BROADCASTING and operated under the ALLIANCE, a partnership with TIMES SHAMROCK.
