FCC Proposes Fines Against Casper, WY Cluster For Public File Violations
February 28, 2013 at 11:32 AM (PT)
The FCC has proposed four separate $15,000 fines against MOUNT RUSHMORE BROADCASTING, INC. for public file violations at its CASPER, WY cluster, Classic Rock KASS (KICK 107), Silent KHOC, Silent KMLD, and Country KQLT (103.7 KOLT COUNTRY). Each station's public file was missing 23 consecutive quarters of issues/programs lists at an AUGUST 2011 inspection. Each fine was revised upward due to "the long duration of MOUNT RUSHMORE’s failure to create and make available issues/programs lists" in the file.
In addition, PIERRE NIXON JEAN has been fined $15,000 for operating an unlicensed station at 92.5 FM in WEST PALM BEACH, FL.
