GOLDEN STRIP BROADCASTING is selling Talk WFIS-A/FOUNTAIN INN, SC to TIMELESS MEDIA, INC. for $40,000.
In other filings with the FCC, MAYES EDUCATION, INC. has closed on the purchase of WALDORF COLLEGE for $8 million, and as part of the deal has formally acquired noncommercial KZOW/FOREST CITY, IA from the WALDORF LUTHERAN COLLEGE ASSOCIATION.
And KCOH INC. has closed on the sale of Urban-Talk KCOH-A to LA PROMESA FOUNDATION for $2,141, 000. The KCOH calls and format have moved to crosstown LIBERMAN Ranchera KQUE-A (RADIO RANCHITO) as of this morning.
Also, in a deal yet to be filed with the Commission, receiver GREG MERRILL of MEDIA SERVICES GROUP,has sold Silent KENT-A/PAROWAN-CEDAR CITY, UT, formerly owned by MORGAN SKINNER's LEGACY COMMUNICATIONS, to CANYON MEDIA GROUP for an undisclosed price. The station is one of five stations being sold by MERRILL after being appointed receiver for the group.
