Saga Net Revenue Rises 4% in 2012, 10% In Q4

SAGA COMMUNICATIONS, INC. reported that its Net operating revenue increased 4% to $130.3 million for the year ended DECEMBER 31st, 2012.  Operating income from continuing operations increased 19.7% to $32.0 million; Station operating expense decreased approximately 1.0% to $90.3 million.  Net income for the period was $17.9 million, compared to net income of $12.6 million for the same period last year.

Net operating revenue in Q4 increased 10.3% from the comparable period in 2011 to $35.5 million.  Operating income from continuing operations increased 27.8% to $9.8 million; Station operating expense increased 3.3% to $23.6 million.  Net income for the period was $5.8 million compared to $4.1 million for the same period last year.
