THE CONCLAVE LEARNING CONFERENCE will debut a new feature this year, a day exclusively devoted to sports broadcasting. CONCLAVE 38 GAME DAY will take place on FRIDAY, JULY 19th, the final day of the three-day event at the DOUBLETREE PARK PLACE HOTEL in MINNEAPOLIS. The day will feature panels on sports radio all day, followed by a reception at NORTHERN LIGHTS Top 40 KTWN (K-TWIN)/MINNEAPOLIS, then across the street to TARGET FIELD to see the TWINS play CLEVELAND (KTWN and the TWINS are co-owned by the POHLAD family, and the station is entering its first season as the team's flagship).
“Our lineup starts with BRUCE GILBERT, SVP/Sports Operations for CLEAR CHANNEL MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT,” said Exec. Dir. BOB SHANNON. “BRUCE built 'THE TICKET' in DALLAS, was recruited by ESPN to create their national radio brand, and has just joined CLEAR CHANNEL. Clearly, he is one of our nation’s sports programming experts.”
“Sports isn’t new to the CONCLAVE,” noted Board Chair MARK BOLKE. “In years past we’ve featured TV’s BOB COSTAS, Hall of Famer KIRBY PUCKETT, play-by-play maestro TOM HAMILTON, The MINNESOTA VIKINGS' (former head coach) DENNIS GREEN, and legendary broadcaster HERB CARNEAL.”
Admission to CONCLAVE GAME DAY is included in the 2013 tuition for the entire CONCLAVE LEARNING CONFERENCE. One-day separate admissions for CONCLAVE GAME DAY will also be available. For more information and hotel reservations, see theconclave.com.
