NASHVILLE ABC-TV affiliate WKRN is reporting that hundreds of pieces of unopened fan mail addressed to BIG MACHINE RECORDS artist TAYLOR SWIFT were found in a NASHVILLE recycling dumpster on TUESDAY (3/12).
The letters were addressed to TAYLOR SWIFT ENTERTAINMENT’s PO Box that is located at the PONY MAILBOX location in TAYLOR’s hometown of HENDERSONVILLE, TN. PONY MAILBOX employees said that SWIFT receives boxes of fan mail at that location, and someone from her staff picks up the mail periodically.
"TAYLOR gets thousands of fan letters every day and they are delivered to her management office. After the letters are opened and read, they are recycled. The only explanation for any letters being unopened would be that a small batch of mail that was supposed to be delivered to TAYLOR was accidentally put with letters headed for the recycling center. We plan to immediately pick up the mail," said SWIFT’s publicist, PAULA ERICKSON.
The mail has since been delivered to TAYLOR’s public relations firm, ERICKSON PUBLIC RELATIONS.
