Roy Laughlin Sells His Stake In KQIE Licensee

ALL ACCESS hears that LOS ANGELES radio management veteran ROY LAUGHLIN has sold his equity interest in LC (LAUGHLIN-CHANG) MEDIA, LLC, licensee of Top 40/Rhythmic KQIE (Q104.7)/REDLANDS-RIVERSIDE-SAN BERNARDINO, to partners JOHN HEARNE and WARREN CHANG for an as-yet-undisclosed price. The deal was made FEBRUARY 1st and has yet to be filed with the FCC. LAUGHLIN, HEARNE, and CHANG bought the former KDES-F/PALM SPRINGS in 2010, moving the station west into the INLAND EMPIRE market.
In filings with the FCC, PUBLIC RADIO, INC. has requested a Silent STA for WAPB/MADISON, FL because "tower was displaced by truck hitting guide wires causing tower to collapse."
ALABAMA MEDIA INVESTMENTS, LLC has closed on the sale of Urban AC WBBK-F (MAGIC 93.1)/BLAKELY, GA-DOTHAN, AL to ROBERT H. HOLLADAY's ALABAMA MEDIA, LLC for $260,000.
And MARMAC COMMUNICATIONS, LLC has closed on the sale of Sports WSEG-A (THE NEW ESPN RADIO FM 104.3)/SAVANNAH, Sports WSFN-A (THE FAN SPORTSRADIO 790)/BRUNSWICK, GA, and WFNS-A (THE FAN SPORTSRADIO 1350)/BLACKSHEAR, GA to SOUTHERN MEDIA INTERACTIVE LLC for $1.3 million.
