BENZTOWN is sponsoring the second annual Iron Imager Contest, an international radio imaging contest where production professionals compete for cash and other prizes and the coveted title of World’s Best Imager. Challengers will demonstrate their imaging skills using audio ingredients handpicked from BENZTOWN’s 20 production libraries, paired with contestants’ original scripts.
This year, BENZTOWN is offering for free many of BENZTOWN’s newest world-class voice talent, including JOE CIPRIANO, MARK FISHER, DONNA FRANK, JACK DENNIS, MIKE BRATTON and JAMIE LEE. The contest begins TODAY and runs through APRIL 11th.
BENZTOWN’s Iron Imager Contest is open to all radio imaging, production and programming professionals (18 or older) and will be judged by top producers and programmers from the U.S. and around the world. The winner of Round 1 will face last year’s Iron Imager, PAUL DUFFY of DUBLIN, IRELAND, in a head-to-head live competition on MAY 3rd at the 2013 WORLDWIDE RADIO SUMMIT, co-sponsored by ALL ACCESS and A&R WORLDWIDE, which is being held MAY 3rd-4th at the ROOSEVELT HOTEL in HOLLYWOOD.
"The Iron Imager Contest is the first of its kind and BENZTOWN is proud to elevate the highest quality imaging in the industry with this adrenaline-filled competition," BENZTOWN CEO ANDREAS SANNEMANN said. "Last year’s inaugural Iron Imager Contest was such a success, we’ve decided to up the ante this year by offering the services of the industry’s top voiceover artists, who will voice challengers’ original scripts for free."
"All imaging professionals should throw their hats into the Iron Imager ring this year," BENZTOWN Pres. DAVE "CHACHI" DENES said. "It’s tremendous visibility for their talent and work, plus it’s a ton of fun. Each contestant has access to the same world-class workparts, which levels the playing field by offering the best components available to every imaging professional, regardless of market size or budgetary limitations. The world will be watching to see who captures the title of World’s Best Imager, so the stakes are high and the competition will be fierce. Get ready to rumble!"
