As ALL ACCESS previously reported (NET NEWS 3/13) on SATURDAY (3/23) PREMIERE RADIO NETWORKS’ syndicated hosts BIG D and BUBBA gathered some friends to play tug-of-war with a 18,000 pound Jetstream 41 for charity.
Through the HEARTS TAKE FLIGHT PULL-A-PLANE CHALLENGE, TEAM BIG D & BUBBA raised $1,000 for charities SPORTS 4 ALL and THE ARC OF TENNESSEE which both provide services to people with disabilities.
In addition to BIG D and BUBBA, team members included former NFL player and artist KYLE TURLEY, NBC-TV "BIGGEST LOSER" contestant and HOLLAVILLE RECORDS TRAILER CHOIR member "BIG VINNY" HICKERSON, local police officer BRIAN, NINE NORTH RECORDS owner LARRY PAREIGIS, "VEGAS THE BODYBUILDER," PREMIERE RADIO NETWORKS’ "AFTER MIDNITE WITH BLAIR GARNER" Producer ANDREW PITTSENBARGER, BIGGER PICTURE GROUP Director Of National Promotion EJ BERNAS, and the "BIG D & BUBBA" show’s Producer PATRICK THOMAS.
The team missed out on having the fastest pull by one second. BIG D & BUBBA posted via FACEBOOK, "We went 30 feet in 12.94 seconds (as pilots ourselves, we think the pilot held the brakes for 2 seconds... we felt them release... but we're not bitter... much... haha)... oh, we lost by ONE second."
