Meghan McCain Responds To Ann Coulter Comment On KTAR's Mac And Gaydos Show

After a firestorm erupted over pundit ANN COULTER's recent blog post suggesting that MEGHAN MCCAIN, daughter of Sen. JOHN MCCAIN (R-AZ) and a commentator herself, be killed, BONNEVILLE Talk KTAR-F/PHOENIX afternoon team MAC WATSON and LARRY GAYDOS got an exclusive when MEGHAN MCCAIN came on the air THURSDAY to respond to COULTER's comment.
COULTER wrote, "MSNBC's MARTIN BASHIR suggested that Republican senators need to have a member of their families killed for them to support the Democrats' gun proposals. (Let's start with MEGHAN MCCAIN!)" Some conservatives like COULTER see MCCAIN as being insufficiently conservative due to her efforts to occupy a political middle ground, and the joke drew criticism before being pulled from the FOX NEWS website.
MCCAIN told MAC AND GAYDOS, "ANN COULTER -- as much as I hate to be giving her more publicity and having her name come out of my mouth right now because that's all she really wants because she's a '90s relic that no one listens to anymore -- I just can't imagine gaining any kind of attention by saying ‘I need to kill someone' or ‘This person should be murdered' in order for an agenda, or whatever she was trying to say, which I still don't understand because I don't speak ‘crazy.'"
"I read enough crap on Twitter to know that there's enough crazy people that maybe would listen to ANN COULTER and say, ‘Maybe if I go kill MEGHAN MCCAIN I will please ANN COULTER and the far right movement.' I think it's an f-ed up thing to do," MCCAIN said.
