FCC Submits FY 2014 Budget Request

The FCC has submitted a budget of $359,299,000 for fiscal year 2014 along with a request to decrease Auctions funding from $98.7 million to $89.4 million. The budget number represents a $10.2 million increase from 2013's requested budget and also includes the Administration's proposal to allow the Commission to set spectrum fees on auctioned spectrum licenses, estimated to bring in $4.8 billion through 2023.
The Commission also announced that 85 bidders have been listed as qualified to participate in FM Auction 94. Bidding is set to begin on APRIL 23rd.
